Christine Barnard - July 17 Hi Clint It was lovely to meet you all too. Lovely of you all to take the time to meet me at the bed and breakfast on the Friday night. I can only say that you all exceeded my expectations, from initial contact right through to the end of my course. Please pass on my heartfelt gratitude to Pete for his professionalism and patience. I am not the fastest learner on the planet but he treated me with respect and patience at all times. Even if we did run out of wet kippers. ( a joke we shared ). I feel a huge sense of self achievement and this would not have been possible if it was not for his easy manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone, and promise to try and spread the word on what you offer. I hope to join you again soon on a camping expedition but need to research tents etc. Before we meet again. May well be contacting you again to double check any decisions before purchase. Once again thank you all Kind regards Christine
Nick Unstead - Jun 17 Pete has an open friendly manner which I found encouraging at the very start of our weekend on Dartmoor. An easy manner and with a clear and informative manner of instruction, well paced and always ensuring that the information had been understood. The repetition of map and compass work whilst walking really helped to anchor in the learning. Then repeated practice to make sure it stuck. I mentioned the leadership role I was hoping to take up in the near future and Pete provided ongoing hints and tips about leading groups in a variety of contexts. Very useful. I enjoyed survival tricks too. A really good weekend with incredible weather. ( 28c and sun each day) Many thanks
Dave Kent - Jan 17 Pete took me up on Dartmoor to do my NNAS Silver Award. I couldn't have felt more at ease! Pete made it easy to learn and regaled me with his many stories. Despite having all the weather that nature could throw at us, I feel much more confident with navigation. Highly recommended!
Gary Sargant - Jan 17 I went on a bespoke navigation skills day with Pete and wouldn't hesitate to recommend PB Adventures. I had some navigation experience but was self-taught and wanted to make sure I had the basics down properly and to learn some more advanced skills. Pete made sure he understood my level and what I wanted to get from the day and tailored what we did. The day was invaluable and I have a much better grounding in navigation and am more confident about my skills as a result. It was mostly learning by doing which was much more helpful than lots of classroom learning for me. PB Adventures organised everything for me, and were helpful and flexible in making arrangements. The B and B was great too - comfortable room and the breakfast set me up for the day! A really fun and useful course for anyone who wants some tailored help to improve their navigation skills.

Have recently returned from PB's Norway kayaking trip. What an absolutely awesome experience. We got to paddle with Orcas and Humpbacks, who thankfully weren't annoyed with our oo's and aa's. We even got to experience the Northern Lights on one night too.
Throughout the trip, we were looked after very well by Pete, who, as well as being an extremely competent kayak guide, is also a great cook.
He created a very strong group bond which enhanced the trip tremendously. I have already provisionally booked my places on next year's kayaking trips, agreed to take my younger son, and also intend going through my ISKGA training with Pete. I'm very much looking forward to tapping into Pete's massive knowledge reserves.
The backroom staff at PB's do a stellar job also, and any required admin is straight forward and simple. I cannot praise the company enough other than to reiterate that I fully intend using their services until my funds run out. Then I'm going to do overtime, to do some more. Thank you very much, PB adventures

In late Aug/Sep I enjoyed wonderful experiences kayaking and hiking with PB Adventures.
Pete is very knowledgeable about tide conditions on the river and sea. His basic and advanced teaching techniques are logical and easy to understand. With Pete's excellent feedback, encouragement and good natured humour, my confidence improved and I felt more confident paddling in bouncy water.
Going for a night paddle was fun and exhilarating. we began at dusk and while Pete stressed the importance of safety, and being constantly aware of reference points. On the return journey I was amazed he could remember every reference point in reverse order!
While hiking in Cornwall, Pete stopped along the way to give valuable lessons including map and compass reading, survival and fire starting techniques. On beautiful Dartmoor, Clint led the way. He was also an excellent guide checking his compass and map to ensure we were on the right route.
In the Brecon's Pete emphasized the importance of being aware of one's surroundings, wearing proper clothing and carrying proper equipment with regards to changing weather conditions and the possibility of hypothermia. A clear sky at the beginning of our ascent, quickly changed to a strong wind, pouring rain and thick fog out at the summit. It was an exhilarating, challenging and fun hike and I felt completely safe under Pete's guidance.
With my love of photography I was very pleased to be able to stop and take many photo's during the hikes without feeling rushed or being pressured to keep up. Clint and Pete were very kind in letting me do so.
I highly recommend PB Adventures; their excellent regard to safety, their attention to detail, their top notch guiding skills.
Emma May - 10th October 2016 I attended PB Adventures kayak meet, and had a great weekend. I loved how the instructor tailored everything to what we wanted to do and what we wanted to get out of the weekend. He was very knowledgeable, not only for kayaking but interesting facts about the area as we paddled around. I even learnt things about Plymouth I did not know and I lived there for 3 years! As well as time on the water there was time to socialise around a top notch BBQ that was all organised and part of the package. It was all very smoothly run and a very friendly atmosphere and I will definitely be getting in contact with the company for other events. I would highly recommend this company.
